Hey all,

Just wanted to pen an open letter to remind everyone that Forex trading is still a thing. In case you do not know what Forex actually is (Foreign Currency Exchange), it is the trading in valuations of monetary currencies against one another.

After the incredible hype that we have had with the stock market in the last year, the interest in retail investing has skyrocketed. It's been two months and there is hardly a time I turn on CNBC and the GME/AMC squeeze is not brought up at least once. For anyone that is on the Clubhouse app…

GameStop and the “Short Squeeze Stampede”

No other stock has had media attention recently like GameStop. In fact, Mad Money Cramer himself basically dedicated most of his coverage today to the stock.

GameStop is currently trading after-hours on 1/25 at $88.87. It opened today around $97 and surged to about $145 before the Nasdaq froze trading for the 2nd time in two days. GameStop is in the midst of a dramatic “short squeeze” that can only make sense in this wild covid stock market.

As the term “short squeeze” has been thrown around over the weekend, I believe most amateur…

I got a notification on Robinhood that Blue Apron’s earnings were coming up and I immediately bought puts to ride out their 2nd quarter numbers. As expected, their earnings beat expectation…but even those results could not save the stock from sinking.

Over the 2nd quarter of 2020, Blue Apron only added an additional 40,000 new customers. Considering right now would probably be the most successful time for their company…this is just sad. Between restaurants being closed and consumers being tired of eating delivered pizza. Their business model should be flourishing right now, but somehow they have only added 40,000 new…

As unemployment extensions expired over a week ago, we once again saw a failure from Congress to act when the country is in desperation. After a week of no promising negotiations…the President surprisingly used multiple executive orders to continue and modify some of the benefits. The unemployment “kicker” was lowered from $600 to $400, but Trump included a new catch. He has demanded that states pay $100 dollars of the new extension. Already dealing with burgeoning debts from the pandemic, Trump is shifting even more financial burdens on the states.

One of the issues Senate Republicans have been held up…

In light of all the Corona Virus news, I’d like to share a review of The Wolf Of Wallstreet. I had first seen the movie years ago but recently rewatched it as I was reading the book. In many ways, the movie gets it right…Jordan Belfort was living a crazy lifestyle from the late 1980s through the mid-90s. He goes into detail about his absurd drug addiction, using enough quaaludes daily to kill many others. …

After years of operating as the go-to “dump your stuff” eCommerce website. It may seem the site is impenetrable for newer users. Believe it or not, there is still plenty of opportunities out there. Here are three selling tips for eBay in 2020.

  1. Bundle, Bundle, Bundle

Long gone are the days of solely being an eCommerce site geared towards Bob in Ohio trying to sell his old tennis racket. These days, Ebay keeps looking more like Alibaba and Amazon. It seems less and fewer auctions are occurring on the site, and “buy it now” brand new items are what primarily…

About two weeks ago now, I listened to the New York Times podcast The Daily. Health reporter Donald G. McNeil Jr. discussed the potential road ahead for the United States as it was deemed inevitable for the centralized Wuhan outbreak to make its way to our shores. As of now, the United States is sitting on about 120 cases of confirmed Coronavirus spread across 20 different states.

Public officials at the local, state, and federal levels have been scrambling to conceive a response. Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York officially declared a state of emergency over the 89 confirmed cases…

About two weeks ago, President Trump announced the immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces in Syria. At the time, The United States had about an estimated 1,000 forces stationed in the country. The withdrawal started with forces in the controversial Kurdistan region (along the Turkish border) but eventually grew to all forces. Within hours, American troops abandoned bases and strategic facilities and began leaving the country. Since the region of Northern Syria has turned into a bloodbath. Turkey launched airstrikes and a formal invasion of Northern Syria in an effort to create a “safe area”. Videos of Turkish paramilitary forces conducting…

In recent years, the number of music festivals around the United States has steadily increased. It is estimated that over 800 music festivals take place annually nationwide. Some landmark festivals have experienced historic milestones. Coachella, the largest festival in the United States sold out both weekends within minutes of tickets going on sale. Bonnaroo sold out for the first time in over 5 years.

At the same time, some other festivals did not have the same results. The most recent case was the failure of Michael Lang’s Woodstock 50th festival. Through what seemed like insane determination, the production company finally…

Maine was the first state to ban the use of the harmful single-use product styrofoam. Styrofoam might be one of the worst consumer based single use products built by man. Often commonly used for gas station fountain drink cups, and temporary cheap cooler alternatives…styrofoam clutters our lives and fills our landfills.

Similiar to plastic, styrofoam takes centuries to decompose. With so much attention of plastic straws, why not shift the argument towards eliminating the use of styrofoam. Additionally, technology and innovation provide many alternatives to styrofoam. At least plastic can be recycled, styrofoam breaks apart to easily to be reusable.
